Campaigns

How Battle of Tsushima unfolded as historical sequence, not instruction.

Educational history. Casualty figures are documented ranges. This is not operational advice, a ranking of nations, or a how-to for weapons or coups.

A meeting engagement after a logistic epic. The campaign is the voyage plus one strait.

Night destroyers are the second day's story English diagrams sometimes shrink.

Principles

A European battle line erased in Asian waters.

Japan as a naval great power

A 1905 fact in European chancelleries.

Mikasa

Togo's flagship, now a museum. Read as a 27-28 May 1905 concept in Tsushima Strait, between Korea and Japan.

Limits

Source limits

Figures such as "Russian dead and drowned in the thousands; Japanese dead in the hundreds -- a lopsided fleet action" stay in ranges because records are incomplete, political, or still closed. How many died? is answered as a band.

No how-to

Battle of Tsushima is described as history. This page does not teach weapons employment, coup method, or attack planning.

Memory bias

English-language fame of Battle of Tsushima and local memory in Tsushima Strait, between Korea and Japan are not the same map. Heihachiro's staff -- Akiyama is often the correction the first photograph drops.

Crossing the T is a 1905 geometry. It is not a missile-age instruction.

Surrender on the 28th is part of the battle, not a coda of shame only.
