Reading the opponent's draft intentions and responding correctly is a distinct skill, and a lost draft can leave even a mechanically superior team fighting uphill all game.
Rotations and positioning
Five players moving as one beats five individuals. Rotations, the coordinated movement of players between lanes, sites or map areas, let a team concentrate force where it matters and arrive at fights with a numbers advantage. In shooters, defenders rotate between bombsites as information dictates, while attackers try to fake one site and hit another before the rotation completes. Success therefore requires not just mastering the current meta but adapting faster than rivals when it shifts, and anticipating where it is heading. Teams and analysts pore over patch notes, and the ability to identify an undervalued strategy early, a sleeper pick or an off-meta setup, can win a tournament before opponents catch up. Esports strategy has evolved from raw individual duels toward deeply coordinated, staff-supported team systems.
