Quick facts
Self-help bestsellers, prosperity gospels and “Secret”-style manifestation share a folk theory: inner states rewrite outer reality. Neuroscience can cash out parts of that folk theory — expectancy, attention, motivation, social feedback — without buying the metaphysics.
This page is a bridge: cultural language on one side, circuits and evidence on the other. It is deliberately sceptical of cosmic causation and deliberately respectful of practices that regulate minds and communities.
