Spatial talent is skill in representing and transforming space — rotation, folding, navigation, built form, some geometries.
Thurstone already listed space among Primary Mental Abilities. Later meta-analyses (Linn and Petersen; Voyer) treated mental rotation as a measurable factor. SMPY and others found spatial scores adding prediction for some STEM paths beyond SAT-M.
Visibility is lower than music or sport, so schools miss it. This page will not turn sex-difference means into destinies or rank peoples. Training (video, drawing, CAD, orienteering) moves scores; starting points still differ.
