Euroclass letters versus assembly resistance — what the scores actually mean.

Reaction-to-fire letters and fire-resistance ratings answer different questions. The list below is an editorial atlas score, with the Euroclass string from each material when one is present.

Euroclass (reaction)

EN 13501-1 assigns a reaction-to-fire letter (A1–F, often with smoke and droplet suffixes) to a product as tested. It is not a wall, door or garment rating.

Resistance (assemblies)

R, E, I and EI minutes describe how an assembly holds load, integrity and insulation in a furnace test. A material letter does not imply those minutes.
