The Philippines is an archipelago whose recreational water is not one sea: Apo Island's community sanctuary off Negros, Coron's 1944 wreck fleet in Palawan, Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park in the Sulu Sea (UNESCO 1993), and Malapascua's Monad Shoal thresher-shark mornings.
Wow factor is high. Seasonality is high because Tubbataha is a short liveaboard window (often March-June) and monsoons rearrange the rest. Accessibility is middling: domestic flights and bangka boats, plus a park that is only a liveaboard. Risk sits with wreck overhead at Coron, current at Tubbataha, and dawn blue-water at Monad Shoal.

Season
A drier window is often cited November-May in many Visayas guides. Tubbataha's ranger-station season is typically March-June. Amihan and habagat monsoons rearrange coasts. This is not a live forecast.

Apo Island vs Apo Reef?
Apo Island (Negros Oriental) is a community-protected volcanic island, famous for snorkel shallows and a drop. Apo Reef (off Mindoro) is a separate, larger atoll park. Both are real; they are not the same site.
What is Coron?
A bay of WWII Japanese wrecks sunk in 1944, now a wreck-diving destination. Many exteriors are recreational; many penetrations are technical. See wreck-diving.
Tubbataha?
A UNESCO (1993) and Ramsar park in the Sulu Sea with no island hotels. Liveaboards, a ranger station, and a short season. Etiquette is the brief.
Monad Shoal?
A seamount off Malapascua where thresher sharks are seen on early dives. Blue water, current, and a no-chase culture. Not a first ocean day.
