These are famous, mapped sites. Plankton and monsoon change; biosphere offices and boats publish the day. Depths are typical published bands, not a live plan.
A house reef is the correct first Maldivian water.

A long, current-swept thila near a well-known resort name. A drift exam, not a first thila.

A single-island atoll with a sharper oceanic reputation than a central house reef. Not a first-lagoon week.
Tips
- House reef before HP — The lagoon is the classroom.
- Ask if Hanifaru is open — Plankton and slots, not a promise.
- Night thila is optional — Maaya fame is not a requirement.
- South is a different ocean — Fuvahmulah is not North Male.
The Maldives is a house reef, a few named thilas and one famous bay. Twenty-six atolls are not one postcard.
