Major honours
Founded in 2010 as the small German team NetApp, an organisation once invited to Grand Tours only on wildcards at Professional Continental level, this outfit jumped to the top tier the moment it signed Peter Sagan in 2017. Sagan completed the final leg of his three straight world titles in 2017 in this jersey and won the 2018 Paris-Roubaix, adding to a 2016 Tour of Flanders win that had already given the team weight in one-day racing. In 2024, Austrian drinks company Red Bull bought a stake, growing the budget and the name together, and that same year new signing Primoz Roglic won the Vuelta a Espana to give the team its first Grand Tour overall title. It was Roglic's fourth career Vuelta title, putting him level with Roberto Heras for the most wins in that race's history.

Rivalry
In the Sagan years, the axis was sprint and green-jersey competition with Mark Cavendish; since 2024, the storyline has become Roglic facing off in Grand Tours against Visma, the team that developed him.
