Nitrogen cycle · The nitrogen cycle is how life borrows an inert atmospheric gas
The nitrogen cycle is how life borrows an inert atmospheric gas. Microbes fix N2, oxidise ammonia, and return N2 — a relay no animal invented. Haber-Bosch (1909–1913) added an industrial shortcut that now feeds billions and also leaks surplus nitrate and N2O.

Nitrogen cycle · Anammox (described in the 1990s) combines ammonium and nitrite t
Anammox (described in the 1990s) combines ammonium and nitrite to N2 — now a wastewater idea, not a home experiment. N2 is everywhere and almost useless until nitrogenase or a factory reduces it. The rest of the cycle is a set of redox jobs.
Nitrogen cycle · Rhizobium in clover nodules, Nitrosomonas in soils, and anammox
Rhizobium in clover nodules, Nitrosomonas in soils, and anammox bacteria in wastewater are different actors, not one germ. Only some bacteria and archaea hold the enzyme. Oxygen is a problem for it — hence nodules and thick slime.
This is education from the atlas. It does not diagnose and does not prescribe a dose. It does not replace the full topic page.
