Safety is a practice site: a pool with a line, a club bay, a competition platform. Famous holes are where the culture is tested, not where it is learned.
Dahab’s Blue Hole is listed because it is a classroom in the worst sense: beautiful, deep, and full of stories that should have ended earlier.

Tips
- Learn in a pool — Then a club line. Then, maybe, a famous name.
- Ask who the safety is — If the answer is “we all watch,” nobody is watching.
- Famous holes are optional — They are not a graduation requirement.
- Working coasts are not try-dive sites — Haenyeo water is labour.
The safety site is a pool and a named buddy. The postcard hole is a later, optional exam.
