Major honours
Team Liquid began in 2000 in the Dutch StarCraft: Brood War community and has grown into the organization with the most tournament earnings in esports by public record. In 2017 a Dota 2 roster captained by KuroKy, built around Miracle- and MinD_ContRoL, won the organization's first world title at The International 7. In Counter-Strike, it swept the major events of summer 2019 to complete Intel Grand Slam Season 2 in the fastest time on record, yet never managed to close out a Major title of its own. In North American League of Legends, it won four straight league titles from 2018 to 2019. The organization is known for a department-store approach, running rosters across more than ten games including StarCraft, Dota 2, Counter-Strike, Valorant and fighting games, and its roots as a community organization show in its continued operation of the wiki Liquipedia.

Rivalry
In 2019 Liquid and Astralis split Counter-Strike between them. Liquid swept tournament after tournament yet kept running into a wall whenever it faced Astralis, and that pattern remains the most-cited nemesis matchup in the game.
