Major honours
OG is the only organization in Dota 2 history to win The International twice in a row. It emerged in 2015 by winning the Frankfurt Major almost immediately after forming, then added Manila, Boston and Kyiv for a then-record four Valve Major titles. But weeks before The International 2018, two of its core players departed and the roster effectively collapsed. Captain N0tail moved coach Ceb back into a playing role and brought in the largely unproven Topson and the semi-retired ana, rebuilding the team from the open qualifiers up. That five-man roster went on to win TI8 and TI9 back to back, completing the most famous underdog story in Dota 2 history and taking home more than $26 million across the two events. OG operates without a home city or parent company, run instead on a player-equity structure, and treats experimental drafting and an unusually loose team culture as part of its identity.

Rivalry
China's PSG.LGD, met in the TI8 final, stood as OG's opposite number — a systematically drilled powerhouse against an improvising underdog — and OG's five-game comeback turned that contrast into the defining story of the tournament.
