Major honours
The team that turned Rhona Martin's one-off 2002 breakthrough into a sustainable programme. Eve Muirhead won four world junior titles before turning 21, became the youngest-ever champion skip at the European Championship at 19, and took the world title in Riga in 2013. A lineup completed with Vicky Wright, Jennifer Dodds, Hailey Duff and Mili Smith beat Japan's Satsuki Fujisawa 10-3 in the Beijing 2022 final for gold, Great Britain's only gold medal of that Olympics. Before that, the Olympics had been a long-running sore spot: bronze at Sochi 2014, then a fourth-place finish at Pyeongchang 2018 after a last stone narrowly missed. Eight Scottish national titles are the second-most on this list, and Muirhead, having also won a mixed doubles world title the same year, retired in August 2022 at age 32.

Rivalry
Sweden's Anna Hasselborg and various Swiss teams were annual opponents at the European Championship, and Japan, beaten in the 2022 Beijing final, had been an awkward opponent since the 2018 Pyeongchang semi-final.
