Major honours
The team that defined Canadian men's curling in the post-free-guard-zone era. Kevin Martin assembled a new lineup in 2006 with John Morris, Marc Kennedy and Ben Hebert, and this foursome won the world title in Grand Forks in 2008 and the Brier in 2008 (11-0) and 2009 (13-0). The peak came at Vancouver 2010: a 9-0 round robin and an overall 11-0 record delivered gold, the first undefeated Olympic curling championship since Great Britain's in 1924, beating Thomas Ulsrud's Norway 6-3 in the final. The team had already taken Olympic silver in Salt Lake City in 2002, and its four Brier titles, including earlier wins in 1991 and 1997, span three separate eras. Eight Players' Championship titles remain the record for that event, and relentless, takeout-heavy play was this team's trademark.

Rivalry
A provincial playoff battle with fellow Albertan Randy Ferbey's team for the Brier berth was the biggest domestic draw in 2000s Canadian curling, and internationally this team met Norway's Thomas Ulsrud repeatedly in finals.
