Major honours
The most decorated foursome in curling history. Niklas Edin made Karlstad his base in 2008 and changed his lineup twice before it reached final form in 2016, when Rasmus Wrana joined at second alongside Oskar Eriksson at third and Christoffer Sundgren at lead. This foursome won eight world titles in all, including four straight from 2018 to 2022, and delivered Sweden men's Olympic gold in Beijing in 2022. Edin retired in May 2026, a month after beating Canada's Matt Dunstone 9-6 in Ogden, Utah, for an eighth world title. That six of those eight world finals came against Canada sums up this team's place in the sport. It made a country with a fraction of Canada's registered curlers a default title contender for well over a decade.

Rivalry
Canada as a whole was the opponent. Six of eight world finals were played against Canadian teams, and at the Olympics this team both fell to and rose past Bruce Mouat's Great Britain — losing the 2018 Pyeongchang final to the United States, then finally winning gold in 2022 in Beijing — building one of the era's defining rivalries.
