Major honours
The only team ever to win four straight women's world titles. Ahead of the 2018-19 season, Silvana Tirinzoni brought in Alina Paetz to form a lineup with Esther Neuenschwander and Melanie Barbezat, and the team won its first title immediately, in Silkeborg in 2019. Further wins followed in 2021, 2022 and 2023, one of the longest world championship winning streaks by any curling team, men's or women's. What makes this team unusual is its division of labour: while Tirinzoni calls shots and holds the broom as skip, Paetz throws the final two stones, a setup several other elite teams have since copied. The team finished runner-up in 2024 and 2025, both times to Rachel Homan's Canada, and after two consecutive fourth-place Olympic finishes in 2018 and 2022, took silver at Milan-Cortina 2026, losing the final 5-6 to Sweden. The Swiss national championship went to this team five times between 2019 and 2024.
