Method

Language exams — a protocol you can run this week. A working protocol for CEFR bands is capture, schedule, retrieve, repair, mix, audit.

Scores here are relative ranks inside this atlas, not lab grades or official cut scores.

Steps

1. Map the outline

   Map every heading of CEFR bands from the public outline onto one page.

   If a row needs a comma, split the card.

2. First pass

   First-pass the handbook once, then hide it. Highlighting CEFR bands is not a schedule.

   Cap new rows before you cap reviews.

3. Drill high-yield

   Retrieve CEFR bands with the page closed. A peek is a fail.

   Recognition is not recall.

4. Weak-spot repair

   Repair any row of CEFR bands that failed twice the same week.

   Two facts glued together is the usual leech.

5. Timed sets

   Mix chapters of CEFR bands in one session so the sitting cannot trap you on textbook order.

6. Taper week

• Repair clinic — Rewrite CEFR bands that failed twice instead of grinding it infinitely.
• Pre-event freeze — Freeze new CEFR bands 10–14 days before the sitting so only mature retrieval remains.

Variants

• Official handbook first — Start from the named public handbook, not a dump. CEFR bands is built from that page.
• Past-type drills — Drill public item types that match CEFR bands. Do not hunt leaked stems.
• Oral / teach-back — Explain CEFR bands out loud as if teaching a colleague. Holes show up faster.
• Error log only — Keep only an error log of CEFR bands. Rereading the whole book is not triage.
