Craft for White floral is solvent, steam, headspace and dose — not a mood.

The six steps below are a studio loop; they are not a safety sheet.

Methods

• Enfleurage — Cold fat extraction for flowers that collapse in steam.
• Concrete/absolute — Hexane wash; the modern tuberose path.
• Headspace — Gardenia and living tuberose snapshots.
• Indole dosing — A drop reads living flower; a splash reads decay.
• Camphor cut — Eucalyptus or cineole to keep tuberose from jam.

Steps

1. Pick the white

   Tuberose, gardenia or orange blossom as boss.

   Two bosses become soap.

2. Decide on indole

   Pretty (low) or Fracas (high).

   Smell at hour 6, not minute 6.

3. Cut the cream

   Bergamot, green stem or camphor.

   Coconut is a one-way door.

4. Base with milk woods

   Sandal and musk, not heavy amber.

   Amber turns whites into oriental.

5. Macerate cool

   Whites throw crystals and sediment.

   Filter gently.

6. Test in a lift

   Sillage is the point — and the complaint.

   One spray may be the formula.

Limits

• Office bans — Fracas-level sillage is a courtesy problem.
• IFRA florals — Some naturals and phototoxins in citrus-whites.
• Soap trap — Orange blossom + musk + aldehyde slides into detergent.

A good White floral formula knows its IFRA ceiling before it knows its ad.
