Reponses courtes
Quelle autorité ou quel corridor local compte pour ce type ?
Commencez par la lentille locale : homologation, licences et hubs — pas une checklist mondiale.
Is this a buying guide?
No. Tool-Lifes /vehicles is an educational atlas. It explains history, systems and culture without affiliate rankings.
Are the scores official?
No. The six scores are relative editorial 0–100 marks across the 48 types on this site.
Where do the photos come from?
Lead images resolve from Wikimedia Commons via Wikipedia titles on the English masters, with licences recorded on the credits page.
Why metric units?
Metric is the default. Regional notes (US customary, local brand culture) appear in culture and market chapters.
How is this different from a wiki article?
Each type gets seven fixed-depth chapters, comparable scores and cross-type labs — structured for browsing, not a single freeform page.
Sur Sous-marin, propulsion, structure, commande et sécurité partagent la même enveloppe d'exploitation.
Les jauges résument marge structurelle, maintenabilité et facteurs humains en score relatif.
Systèmes
Structure
Sous-marin: Welded steel or HY alloy cylinder resists external sea pressure; watertight bulkheads compartmentalize flooding.
Propulsion
Sous-marin: Main ballast floods for dive; trim tanks fine-tune pitch and neutral buoyancy at depth.
Énergie
Sous-marin: Diesel-electric boats charge batteries surfaced; nuclear boats use steam turbines for unlimited submerged endurance.
Commande
Sous-marin: Bow array, flank arrays, and periscope optics feed torpedo and cruise-missile solutions.
Interface
Sous-marin: Atmosphere control removes CO2 and replenishes oxygen for crew endurance at periscope depth.
Sécurité
Sous-marin: Torpedo tubes and vertical launch cells eject weapons with impulse or swim-out profiles.
Indicateurs relatifs
Points chauds
Sous-marin: Hull weld defects
Sous-marin: Micro-cracks at frame intersections risk catastrophic implosion beyond test depth.
Sous-marin: Battery thermal runaway
Sous-marin: Diesel-electric boats face fire risk during fast charge on snorkel.
Sous-marin: Reactor coolant leaks
Sous-marin: Nuclear boats treat primary loop anomalies as highest-priority casualties.
Sous-marin: Sonar dome flooding
Sous-marin: Bow dome leaks degrade detection and add weight forward.
Sous-marin: Valve misalignment
Sous-marin: Wrong ballast sequence can broach or plunge beyond ordered depth.
Matériaux
Sous-marin: HY-80/100 hull steel
Sous-marin: High-yield alloys permit thinner shells within navy depth ratings.
Sous-marin: Sound-absorbent tile
Sous-marin: Anechoic coatings reduce active sonar returns on outer hull.
Sous-marin: Lead-acid or Li-ion cells
Sous-marin: Diesel boats store submerged propulsion energy in heavy battery banks.
Sous-marin: Zirconium alloy fuel cladding
Sous-marin: Nuclear cores use specialized materials in primary coolant environment.
