Reponses courtes
Quelle autorité ou quel corridor local compte pour ce type ?
Commencez par la lentille locale : homologation, licences et hubs — pas une checklist mondiale.
Is this a buying guide?
No. Tool-Lifes /vehicles is an educational atlas. It explains history, systems and culture without affiliate rankings.
Are the scores official?
No. The six scores are relative editorial 0–100 marks across the 48 types on this site.
Where do the photos come from?
Lead images resolve from Wikimedia Commons via Wikipedia titles on the English masters, with licences recorded on the credits page.
Why metric units?
Metric is the default. Regional notes (US customary, local brand culture) appear in culture and market chapters.
How is this different from a wiki article?
Each type gets seven fixed-depth chapters, comparable scores and cross-type labs — structured for browsing, not a single freeform page.
Sur Hydravion, propulsion, structure, commande et sécurité partagent la même enveloppe d'exploitation.
Les jauges résument marge structurelle, maintenabilité et facteurs humains en score relatif.
Systèmes
Structure
Hydravion: Stepped hull or twin floats support weight on water; sponsons resist capsize in swell.
Propulsion
Hydravion: Retractable rudders steer at idle; plow and step regimes change spray and control.
Énergie
Hydravion: Pusher or tractor props clear spray; carb heat or FADEC manage power on glassy water.
Commande
Hydravion: High-wing configs keep engines clear; wingtip floats stabilize on rough lakes.
Interface
Hydravion: Mooring lines and removable beaching wheels extend ops beyond docks.
Sécurité
Hydravion: Sealed wiring, sacrificial anodes, and freshwater rinse SOP fight salt exposure.
Indicateurs relatifs
Points chauds
Hydravion: Hull step damage
Hydravion: Porpoising on wrong step angle cracks keel or rivet lines.
Hydravion: Water in fuel
Hydravion: Condensation in tank sumps causes rough running after long mooring.
Hydravion: Prop water strike
Hydravion: Wave loop ingestion bends blades during high-speed step transition.
Hydravion: Float pump failures
Hydravion: Bilge water in floats shifts lateral stability on takeoff run.
Hydravion: Corrosion at fittings
Hydravion: Dissimilar metal at float struts requires frequent inspection.
Matériaux
Hydravion: Marine-grade aluminum hull
Hydravion: Riveted or welded skins resist salt with anodize and primer systems.
Hydravion: Stainless control cables
Hydravion: Exposed runs near spray use corrosion-resistant wire.
Hydravion: Polyurethane hull coating
Hydravion: Flexible bottom paint reduces drag and osmosis on composite floats.
Hydravion: Teflon hose ends
Hydravion: Fuel lines resist ethanol swell in US bush operations.
