Reponses courtes
Quelle autorité ou quel corridor local compte pour ce type ?
Commencez par la lentille locale : homologation, licences et hubs — pas une checklist mondiale.
Is this a buying guide?
No. Tool-Lifes /vehicles is an educational atlas. It explains history, systems and culture without affiliate rankings.
Are the scores official?
No. The six scores are relative editorial 0–100 marks across the 48 types on this site.
Where do the photos come from?
Lead images resolve from Wikimedia Commons via Wikipedia titles on the English masters, with licences recorded on the credits page.
Why metric units?
Metric is the default. Regional notes (US customary, local brand culture) appear in culture and market chapters.
How is this different from a wiki article?
Each type gets seven fixed-depth chapters, comparable scores and cross-type labs — structured for browsing, not a single freeform page.
Sur Brise-glace, propulsion, structure, commande et sécurité partagent la même enveloppe d'exploitation.
Les jauges résument marge structurelle, maintenabilité et facteurs humains en score relatif.
Systèmes
Structure
Brise-glace: Thickened shell, stringers, and ice knife bow ride up and break plate ice by weight.
Propulsion
Brise-glace: Wide power margin drives props in ice-filled water; dual shafts improve maneuvering in leads.
Énergie
Brise-glace: Flight deck supports reconnaissance; labs and winches serve research or escort missions.
Commande
Brise-glace: Forward-looking radar and experienced conning pick channels through ridged ice.
Interface
Brise-glace: Air bubblers and steam-heated sea chests limit ice ingestion at props.
Sécurité
Brise-glace: Heavy towlines and escort procedures guide merchant ships through floes.
Indicateurs relatifs
Points chauds
Brise-glace: Propeller blade damage
Brise-glace: Contact with hard multi-year ice chips edges and vibrates shafts.
Brise-glace: Shell plate denting
Brise-glace: Repeated impacts work-harden and crack plating if not surveyed.
Brise-glace: Sea chest icing
Brise-glace: Blocked intakes overheat main engines during long ice transits.
Brise-glace: Rudder stall in brash
Brise-glace: Packed ice limits steerage at low speed in convoys.
Brise-glace: Helo icing
Brise-glace: Flight ops pause when deck icing and visibility fall below limits.
Matériaux
Brise-glace: Arctic-grade hull steel
Brise-glace: Toughness at low temperature resists brittle fracture on impact.
Brise-glace: Nickel-aluminum bronze props
Brise-glace: Ductile blades tolerate minor ice strikes better than cast steel.
Brise-glace: Fuel-blended diesel
Brise-glace: Cold-flow treated marine diesel resists waxing in polar supply.
Brise-glace: Non-slip deck aggregate
Brise-glace: Epoxy grit surfaces maintain footing in freezing spray.
