How to travel

   ESTA / eTA-style pre-travel authorisation is common.

   Check the six-month passport rule in the same sitting.

3. Pick regions

   Two of Oahu, Maui, Kauai is enough.

   A transfer day is not a sightseeing day.

4. Lock stays

   Lock a Waikiki hotel style stay before peak.

   For honeymoons, room position beats star count.

5. Shape transport

   Use Honolulu-North Shore as the spine; cut side quests.

   Put the last night near the airport.

6. Leave slack

   Leave a weather/strike/tender day empty.

   An empty afternoon is the actual honeymoon luxury.
