Craft for Tea is solvent, steam, headspace and dose — not a mood.
The six steps below are a studio loop; they are not a safety sheet.
Methods
- Accord, not distillation — Camellia sinensis is not rose otto.
- Watercolor dilution — Ellena: few materials, exact.
- Scented-tea study — Smell jasmine pearls before dosing.
- Smoke as a pinch — Hojicha, not a bonfire.
- Musk as cup — The hold after steam dies.
Steps
- Pick the brew
Green, black, smoked, osmanthus.
Chai spice is a different brief.
- Keep sillage low
Tea that shouts is a candle.
Hedione, not Calone flood.
- Add one peel or flower
Bergamot or jasmine, not both loud.
Osmanthus already is fruit-flower.
- Dry the base
Cedar, mate, light incense.
Vanilla makes bakery tea.
- Test beside a real cup
If the drink wins, the accord is thin.
If the perfume wins, it may be soap.
- Wear as a refresh
Reapplication is cologne logic.
Don’t expect oud hours.
Limits
- No true tea otto — The family is an accord culture.
- Candle cliché — “White tea” home scent stained the word.
- Low projection — Fails any brief that wants a trail.
A good Tea formula knows its IFRA ceiling before it knows its ad.
