This week’s study

Spaced repetition, Pre-event freeze, 1885

Thursday morning: at the desk, write only 1885 and 1885 for Spaced repetition on the card. Put “Pre-event freeze” under Spaced repetition. At the timer, count 1885 once. Do not write a diagnosis beside Spaced repetition. Leave 1885 and Pre-event freeze at the desk.

Spaced repetition is “Pre-event freeze” in 1885, and the figure kept beside it is 1885. This week, use one method only, and do not blur the time by mixing another method. Do not read a count of misses as a person’s ability. Keep only the figure on the card. Write down atomic cards that failed twice and split it the same week. At the desk, open Spaced repetition so the card shows 1885 first, 1885 next, and “Pre-event freeze” beside them.

This week, before you start the timer, write the method’s name, the year, and the figure on the desk card, and study once only for that many minutes. When the timer rings, close the card and do not run a second round the same day. The order is Spaced repetition, 1885, 1885, then “Pre-event freeze”. When the timer is done, look again only at 1885 for Spaced repetition and leave 1885 on the card.

Do not judge the method by a rank of scores, and do not write a diagnosis on the card. Check that the method on the card and the timer you started today are the same study, and if not, turn the timer off and only read the card. Do not read a count of misses as a person’s ability. Keep only the figure on the card. Match Pre-event freeze with 1885 at the desk before you close 1885 for Spaced repetition. Spaced repetition is “Pre-event freeze” in 1885, and the figure kept beside it is 1885.
