Clear checks
Say who the buddy is and which signals you will use, before the water.
Agree the turn pressure or the turn time out loud. A nod is not a plan.
Mask, fins, weights, and a surface marker if the plan uses one.
Visual or line contact. Drifting apart is the failure mode this card names.
Search one minute, then surface and signal. Do not invent a deep hunt.
Finish on the agreed gas or time. This card does not clear you to stay.
Agree the turn pressure and the abort signal before entry. Teaching envelope only — your shop briefing wins.
Wind, surge, fog, or a tired buddy are valid cancels. No page stamps “safe today.”
