Chooser first
The chooser is a rule about the map-or-not check, not a drawing. Read the use line and the avoid line. If you are past 14 minutes and still unsure, you have not chosen yet.
The chooser chooses the form of a map-or-not check. The studio draws the form you already chose. Spend the first of your 14 minutes in the chooser so you do not decorate a chart the rule already rejected. Open the studio only after the avoid note is clear.
Use the chooser to accept or reject the map-or-not check. Use the studio to place titles, series, and labels on the form that survived. A 14-minute job that starts in the studio usually spends the time on a chart the chooser would have blocked.
Check each criteria to confirm findings against the atlas verdict.

The studio assumes the map-or-not check already has a form. It is where you set the title, the series, and the source line. Going there before the rule wastes the 14 minutes on decoration.
Do not treat the chooser as a gallery of finished pictures, and do not treat the studio as the place that tells you a map-or-not check is wrong. Each page has one job. 14 minutes is enough for both if you keep that order.
Read the chooser, name the form, then open the studio and stop when the map-or-not check matches that form. If it does not, go back. Do not add a second chart inside the same 14 minutes.
This page separates the chooser from the studio for a map-or-not check of about 14 minutes. It does not change studio sanitizing and it does not draw the chart for you.
